Summer is well and truly behind us and the time for Sunday drives, morning tea in the open air and relaxed pub lunches is here!
With only short stretches of highway driving, this could be an opportunity to polish your pre-war cars and stretch their legs!
Meet with us at our usual Redbank Plaza rendezvous and take the short drive to the stunning Kholo Gardens. This historic and picturesque park overlooking the upper Brisbane River is an unexpected oasis of green lawns and stately trees. Restrooms are available and there is ample parking. We will have a leisurely hour to wander and enjoy morning tea.
BYO tea, coffee, thermos, cups and a chair
A small but sumptuous selection of home baked biscuits and cakes will be on offer!
Afterwards we will continue on to Marburg Hotel – once again only a short drive – where we will have dedicated parking and a pay-as-you-go lunch. The historic Marburg Hotel was built in 1881 and has been in continuous operation ever since, serving as the town’s premier landmark and for many years its only watering hole.
